In-The-Ear OTCs

These devices fit entirely within the ear canal or space just outside of the ear canal, i.e. the concha. Some are nearly invisible; others are quite large. This style of OTC hearing aid may be suitable for someone who desires discreteness or someone who does not want anything on top or behind their ears. As with any OTC hearing aid it is important that the device fit comfortably and securely in the ear.

These devices can be:

Self-Fitting:  The user has access to technology that adjusts the sound to meet their preferred sound quality and volume.

Preset:  The manufacture provides a series of presets designed to correct for an “average hearing loss” type. No self-made adjustments or fine tuning by the user are available.
